Thank you for your correspondence. How odd that it cam through the French postal system. And may I say a very wise move in covering your brochure with plastic packaging. Protective. However, it was really hard to open so I've left it protected.
Looks like a beautiful place. Are the clouds snow covered mountains or clouds? I've just called them clouds so they may be. We had a vast amount of snow in the UK this Christmas, well a lot for this country. A white Christmas and sledging. I've never been sledging before but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The fear went after a while. Hope you get many visitors.

The first thing I noticed in your correspondence to me was the message 'response to your request from Archaeology Magazine'; I don't remember doing this but thank you for thinking of me anyway.
There's so much to do with Beltram Travel, if only time and finances would allow it. I particularly like the sound of 'Antarctic Expedition' and yes "explore the end of the world literally".
I've had a few letters from North Carolina actually. I have been to Charlotte, where I believe you are based, and my friend Penny and I ate and 'all you can eat buffet.' We were stuffed for days. Then we went home to the UK. Prior to that we were in New York.

First of all can I thank you for addressing me as 'Traveler', it makes me feel like I have freedom and ambition. You're right I didn't believe you when you said that your company was "the most exciting expedition travel companies in the world: but your host of reasons were convincing. I've seen many programs by your partner National Geographic but I haven't heard of you. What you offer on your expeditions sounds brilliant. How guided are these expeditions? I do like to venture off and not always follow the crowd when I travel.

Thank you for the information regarding being a student at the Indiana University, School of Library and Information Science. I'm glad you've written to me because I am doing a project based around making correspondence with participants for 1 year and you've replied to one of my ads (not you personally I'm sure). But the replies I am receiving leads me into a momentary sneak into someone's life as they write back to me. But where do I go in my project? Do I archive the people, the letters, do I share? I am studying contemporary fine art and have an exhibition in 2 weeks. any advice ion the concepts of my project would be appreciated. Maybe the university has some worthwhile research I could pursue in this area?

Thank you for your information on the Maya & Inca Tours. Looking through gave me memories of when I did the Salkantay Trail in Peru in 2006. A fantastic but hard trek that lasted 5 days. Hard because I gave up smoking for it only a few months before and my lungs were still full of crap. Amazing to finally reach Machu Picchu at 5am covered in mist. Your Mexican Tours sound very appealing , perhaps in a few years to come when I have saved up. I have attached one of my favourite photos from the trek as a gift for you.

Sorry it's taken so long to reply. I've been preoccupied with work and wondering where this project is going. Today, I'm really not sure. You see writing letters back to you guys is exciting; will I ever get anything back? Will I ever meet any of you? But my dilemma is I've an exhibition in a couple of months and I'm still struggling to figure out how to display it. Maybe I should just go to Texas. I've never walked on a glacier but what you offer sounds amazing. thank you for your detailed letter and info about visiting the Wrangell Mountains in Alaska, it sounds like we'd be very looked after. I am unable to visit now due to financial constraints. my dad would love to visit but he has dialysis every other day so it's a bit inconvenient.

This is quite funny, as I've just replied to a tourist company in South Carolina telling them about my time in North Carolina! Their brochure described 'The things to see and do in the Olde English District.' I don't know if they did this on purpose because I live in the 'real' England, Nottingham in fact which is kind of 'olde'.
i am doing a project you see about starting correspondence with passer-bys in different ;locations. you replied with your leaflet on 'The Outer Banks of North Carolina'. Thanks for my Gateway Card. Seems like there’s a lot to do in South Carolina. Thanks for spending the money to post the brochure but I can't say I'll be visiting in the near future. I've been to North Carolina which I found strange as it's very modern and clean with no one on the streets. do people not walk anywhere? i seem to remember a lot of cars and a cluster of sky scrappers which is the financial quarter. my friend Penny and I had 4 hours before our plane so we went on the tram only to realize it took about 10 minutes to travel around the town so we stayed on it for about 4 or 5 trips.
anyway fancy having a correspondence with me for a year? It's a part of a global project I'm doing.

I wasn’t sure where Belize was until now. Your illustrated map is wonderful and I must say I was quite compelled to viewing it. The place sounds beautiful but my funds would not allow me to visit there now. Many companies have sent me maps and guides about places but yours is the only illustrated one, this really does add a personal touch which is great because my project involves personal correspondence. I’m not sure where you saw my advert but it basically asks passer-bys to correspond with me for 1 year so I guess this is the beginning of that correspondence with you. Thank you for your letter regarding your book ‘Appalachian Crisis.’ Unfortunately, I don’t think I inquired about this book and it seems someone may have done this on my behalf. However, the story of The Abolition Movement, the Secret Six Group, George Washington Anderson and the slave trade sounds fascinating and an immense read. ‘John Brown’s Raid and the Civil War require 126 fictional and 210 historical characters to weave the story.’- that is truly huge, for #34.60 it seems like a very reasonable purchase and to dedicate fifteen years of research is something to be admired. Unfortunately, I will have to say no to this offer but thank you for sending me the info. I have enclosed some of my current project which has taken about a year of research. If you have any more questions please do not hesitate to ask.
